The Present Moment of Now

Think of a time when someone started talking to you when you were in the middle of an email, or trolling on your phone, watching TV, or in the middle of a conversation. When you experienced this interruption, were you able to stop what you were doing and fully engage with the person?

When you're reading a book or have some downtime, do you find you're thinking about plans for later in the day or the week? Or are you fully engrossed in the current moment?

The importance of being ever present in the current now, brings us to a different level of existing. We spend less energy splitting our time or corralling our thoughts back to focus.

Let's make sure we love ourselves enough to be present in our activities, tasks, and downtime this month. See how certain things fall way, who steps up, which connections deepen, and how we feel as we release the grip our plethora of responsibilities have on us.

For many of us, this presence means slowing down a bit and allowing the flow of life to be, which may be contradictory to how many of us live most of the time. Hopefully we can all find areas in our lives where we can be present and over time, with attention, we can bring that presence to another aspect, and another, until we are consistently present in our lives.

Wishing you all Love and Peace this month!

Achieving our Goals

(Originally appeared in the Sol Angel March Newsletter)

By now I hope we have all secured the overarching essence of the year’s theme for our personal development and interests. With this knowledge we can plan steps forward, classes to take, groups to join, conversations to have, all while maintaining a balance from within. If you haven’t already, march on forward towards your goals this year. Take the vacation you always wanted to, or make the time for yourself or your family - whatever it is that feeds your soul. Power yourself up and go do it – and feel how super energized you can become!

Following our hearts’ nudges can be like exercise - there may be some discomfort or even pain as we follow through on our heart’s plans – but when we reach a milestone, we look back with greater understanding and a bit of pride, knowing we’ve made it this far and can evaluate what’s next. Also, like exercise, the more we follow our hearts’ nudges, the easier it becomes.

So if you’re already on your path to your goals or re-evaluating them or making new ones, kudos to you and keep moving forward. For those who are still procrastinating, find ways to be accountable so you can be in the forefront of your destiny. Enlist the help of family, friends, or neighbors – or even a professional to assist. We’re all here supporting each other in our life journey.
